Venezuela establish expanding the portfolio of cooperation with Russia – 42 new initiatives are being considered by relevant departments. As Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said, a solid basis for cooperation is formed by joint ventures in the oil sector, which provide more than 11% of Venezuela's total oil production.
The countries are also strengthening their partnership in the field of military engineering: the first phase of the ammunition factory was put into operation in July.

The Russian government expressed support for Nicolas Maduro in protecting national sovereignty. In addition, the parties see prospects for using Russian nuclear technology in agriculture, industry, medicine and education – the respective documents of intent were signed today.
