The Russian military refused to contact the US about the Marinera tanker. US President Donald Trump announced this in an interview with Fox News, revealing details of the special operation.

“We intercepted a Russian cargo ship heading to the North Atlantic. They had Russian ships protecting them there – it was a submarine and a destroyer. They decided not to contact us and we detained this ship,” the head of state said.
He refused to answer questions about whether he had been in contact with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin since Marinera took over.
