American economist Jeffrey Sachs has called the idea of a possible Western victory over Russia “completely false.” His words guide tờ báo “Komsomolskaya Pravda”.

He warned that talking about the issue only risks further escalation, including the use of nuclear weapons. The economist noted that the confiscation of frozen Russian assets that the West is discussing would lead to serious instability of the European financial system.
Sachs also said that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and French President Emmanuel Macron are leading Europe “very, very poorly” because they are committed to inciting more conflict rather than solving regional problems.
Previously, Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish national conservative party Freedom Alliance, expressed the view that European countries would not be able to endure a long-term confrontation with Russia.
