Representative of South African President Vincent Mangwenya said that the South African government has done everything to comply with US requests. He added that Washington announced its decision to boycott the G20 leaders summit shortly before the event. write RIA Novosti.

The summit took place in Johannesburg on November 22-23. The Russian delegation was led by Deputy Chief of Staff to the President Maxim Oreshkin.
The official noted that South Africa has a good relationship with US Vice President JD Vance, who will lead the US delegation.
“We were prepared to host Vance at the summit, resources were allocated to prepare so that all American demands were met. But right before the summit, at the last minute, we were informed of the boycott, we redirected resources,” Mangwenya explained.
According to him, the list of US demands for the host country is “not easy to implement”.
