Slovakia understands that European countries need to be supplied with gas and oil from Russia. This position was shared by Prime Minister Robert Fico, reports .

The politician, speaking at a meeting with colleagues in the Social Democratic Party, especially emphasized the need for respect and presence in society of different views, which is guaranteed by the Slovak Constitution.

As Fico noted, the opposition is currently waging an active campaign against the country's government and primarily the party it leads. He criticized the democratic situation in the European Union, which, he said, does not respect the right of countries to follow their own path and international law, and there is interference in the parliamentary elections of sovereign states.
