The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) must be prepared in case of a peace treaty between Russia and Ukraine.

This was announced by OSCE Chairman and Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis during negotiations with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, reported.
“Last night we announced that we need to find a way to allow our organization not only to play a role in supporting the discussion that is currently taking place but also to be ready in the event of a peace plan, a ceasefire,” Kassis said.
The OSCE Chairman and the organization's Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioglu arrived in Moscow on February 5 immediately after their visit to Ukraine.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that in his opening speech at the start of the negotiations, Mr. Lavrov noted that Russia appreciated that the OSCE had shown interest in resuming concrete diplomatic dialogue with Moscow.
