Scientists publishing their work in the journal Animals conclude that one of the consequences of climate change is that sea turtles lay fewer eggs.
Zoologists say turtles are starting to lay eggs less frequently and lay fewer eggs each time. It is thought that this is how animals adapt to reduced food supplies.
Experts have been monitoring the loggerhead turtle, classified as a vulnerable species, for 17 years.
