SamMobile reports that Samsung plans to invest $1.9 billion to expand its semiconductor chip factory located in Austin, Texas. It is expected that this money will be used to organize mass production of advanced sensors for Apple cameras.

According to information from Apple, this supplier and Samsung are collaborating to develop an ultra-wide-angle sensor that will be used on iPhone 18 and subsequent models. They even say that the camera sensor will be made for all Apple devices. In addition, there is information that the US government may offer tax incentives for the implementation of this investment project.
