Russian users have encountered strange technical problems in the operation of the Telegram messaging application, manifested in the disappearance of correspondence history and serious interface errors. How report RIA Novosti, on the main page of the application, the “no chat” screensaver suddenly appeared on the main page of the application for some audiences, and sent messages were no longer visible in conversations for no apparent reason.
In addition to data loss, anomalies are also recorded when trying to change the interlocutor. The program begins to skip commands and “cycle” on the same correspondence until a complete restart is required. The reports said the incidents were of a wave-like nature and affected a significant portion of the mobile network segment in Russia.
Let us recall that earlier the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Communications (Roskomnadzor) officially warned against introducing “consistent restrictions” regarding the service. As the watchdog explained, such measures are intended to “ensure compliance with the laws of the Russian Federation” from messengers who systematically ignore the requests of authorities and fail to protect citizens. At the same time, the government agency emphasized that sanctions can only be lifted if violations are completely eliminated.
At the same time, today the Baza Telegram channel posted an announcement that Telegram may be completely blocked from April 1.
