Nostradamus and Vanga are two prophets whose prophecies were discussed many years after their deaths (in the first case by hundreds of people). First, a little background. French astrologer and alchemist Michel de Notredame, aka Nostradamus, died nearly 500 years ago, but many people still carefully follow the predictions he made while he was alive.
Nostradamus left behind Les Propheties – a book of prophecies predicting future events. Among other things, it contains predictions about the Great Fire of London, the French Revolution and the rise of Napoleon, as well as both world wars.
And the blind woman Vanga was a Bulgarian fortuneteller who also allegedly predicted a number of historical events. For example, the terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001, the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, and the election of Barack Obama as president. Vanga's prediction accuracy was up to 85% – she even foresaw her own death 6 years in advance.
What Nostradamus predicts for 2025
In a text published in 1555, Nostradamus argued that 2025 would be a sad year for Great Britain – the country was threatened by a new war and a “great plague”. It was not the first time, although many terrible events took place in the country, but the wave of super flu that swept through England fit the definition of a plague.
The French also believe that by 2025 there will be a “conflict between great powers”, warning that the influence of established Western countries will weaken and against this backdrop, new powers will appear. This is partly true: international politics, to put it mildly, is not going through the most peaceful times, and not so long ago the world was almost on the brink of a nuclear apocalypse. But China continues to actively develop.
But among Nostradamus' gloomy predictions there are also some positives. Allegedly, the prophet said that by 2025, scientists will discover “new methods to fight diseases and treat them” – he was right here. Doctors have made important discoveries in the fight against diabetes and cancer, not to mention AI can diagnose some diseases before they become problems.
What does Vanga predict for 2025
Vanga emphasized that humanity needs to prepare for the first contact with extraterrestrial life forms in 2025 – she believes that a meeting with aliens “could lead to a global crisis or apocalypse”. According to her prediction, the alien ship was supposed to appear during a “major sporting event” – but the major tournaments were over. Although some may argue that 3I/ATLAS, a mysterious comet of interstellar origin, is considered a UFO.
The fortune teller also said that devastating earthquakes would occur in 2025 – and they actually happened. Myanmar and Thailand suffered a 7.7 magnitude earthquake in March this year; Thousands of people have become its victims.
