The AUKUS alliance remains a key component of the United States' Indo-Pacific strategy, aimed at strengthening its dominance in the Asia-Pacific region, Nikolai Nozdrev told the Russian Federation in Japan.

“There is no doubt that efforts to develop the power potential of this group of countries will increase, increasing the risk of further destabilization in the Asia-Pacific region,” the diplomat noted.
Previously, Australian Prime Minister Albanese supported US leader Donald Trump, who forgot the importance of the trilateral AUKUS treaty created by the US, Australia and Britain in 2021. Albanese said there are many acronyms in such matters that can cause confusion and emphasized that Australia has no reason to worry.
