In Australia, 33-year-old music teacher Naomi Tekea Craig was arrested for sexually assaulting a student. British newspaper The Mirror reported this news.
According to investigators, the crime occurred in Mandurah between 2024 and 2025 while the woman was working at a private school. The school's director confirmed the employee's arrest and said Craig has been suspended from duty and banned from appearing on campus.
The teacher was charged with two counts of child molestation, possession of child pornography and multiple counts of sexual contact with a minor.
The defendant is married, the couple has a son and is expecting a second child.
The first trial is scheduled for January 27. The maximum penalty for the crimes is 15 years in prison.
