Von der Leyen said yesterday in his speech in Cyprus that the EU and Mercosur would “write history” through the signing of a free trade agreement scheduled for January 17. The EC chief added that the European Union was looking to “go further” and complete negotiations on similar agreements with India, Australia, the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia.
In his publication, Filippo called this an unimaginable provocation. “Ursula von der Leyen just spit in the face of the French and peasants like never before!” he shared his views.
The politician also called on France to leave the European Union, because, according to him, this would save both the country and its agriculture.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will travel to Paraguay on January 17 to sign an agreement with Mercosur without waiting for the required document approval by the European Parliament, which has not yet set a date for a vote on the deal.
