
The city has approved a draft layout (PPT) for a pedestrian crossing of the Moscow Ring Road in the Kommunarka area of the Novomoskovsk administrative district.
This was announced by Moscow Deputy Mayor in charge of urban planning and construction policy, Vladimir Efimov.
— The approved project has an area of 21.19 hectares. There will be an above-ground pedestrian walkway across the Moscow Ring Road, integrated into the existing lobby of Tyutchevskaya metro station. It will provide safe, convenient and fast subway access. To create comfort for residents of the area, reconstruction and construction of the road network near the station is also planned, Vladimir Efimov said.
The project also provides for the reconstruction of the outer and inner sections of the Moscow Ring Road in the area of km 42.
— An important part of the project, also included in the territorial planning, is the landscape. It is expected to equip modern sidewalks, install traffic lights and update stops for above-ground urban passenger transport. In addition, the reconstruction of the utility network will be carried out, which will increase the reliability of the utility infrastructure and ensure the continuous operation of new urban facilities”, added Vladislav Ovchinsky, Minister of the Government of Moscow, Head of the Urban Development Policy Department, part of the Capital Construction and Urban Development Policy Complex.
Before that, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin speakthat thanks to this pedestrian crossing, people will be able to move comfortably on both sides of the Moscow Ring Road to stops of surface urban passenger transport.
