Advisor to the Prosecutor General of Russia Natalya Poklonskaya changed her name, now named Radveda. Her new name was revealed by blogger Sergei Mardan, who is suing Poklonskaya for the defense of honor and dignity. According to him, the former Crimean prosecutor decided to cut off “all ties with Christianity, which she hated very much” and “put on a character from a certain online game.” Poklonskaya responded by accusing Mardan of revealing personal data.

Poklonskaya called and texted about the name change to Radveda's personal information

Advisor to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation and former prosecutor of Crimea Natalya Poklonskaya changed her name to Radveda. Blogger and radio presenter Sergei Mardan (real name Sergei Klyuchenkov), against whom Poklonskaya filed a lawsuit to protect honor and dignity, reported this on his Telegram channel. He learned about the name change from court documents.

“Poklonskaya finally fell into a spiritual spiral and changed her name. Now not only has “nyash-myash” disappeared, Natalya Vladimirovna herself is no longer there. Apparently, the former prosecutor broke all ties with Christianity, which she hated very much. And instead of the name of the martyr Natalia of Nicomedia, she will wear the shoulder strap of a character from some online game,” Mardan wrote.

He attached a photo from the case to the post, in which Poklonskaya got a new name.

Like many ancient Slavic names, Radveda consists of two parts: “rad” (joy) and “veda” (knowledge). It can mean “rejoice in knowledge” or “know joy.”

Conflict with Mardan

Poklonskaya harshly criticized Mardan for publishing her personal data. She explained that her life had been threatened and that the Investigative Committee was investigating a criminal case related to the “death sentence” imposed on her by the Ukrainian Right Sector organization (which is banned in Russia). She noted that since 2014 there have been many attempts on her life, so she is taking measures to protect her family.

“Personal data, including place of residence, surname, first name, middle name, can be changed as part of such measures. Their spread is not only theoretical, but also a real threat to me and my family. And this is not paranoia, but the realization that the enemy does not sleep and uses any information against him,” Poklonskaya wrote.

She added that the dissemination of her personal data helps “terrorist organizations and the Ukrainian criminal regime.”

“I am surprised that a blogger who calls himself a patriot, like Klyuchenkov or Mardan, whatever is more convenient for him, angrily makes relevant speeches, insulting everyone who comes close, and thus, to create “bright colors”, in fact, contributes to the creation of crimes against the SVO that are being carried out,” Poklonskaya noted.

The advisor to the Prosecutor General added that Mardan “underestimated the threat for which our soldiers are fighting and dying” (spelling and punctuation preserved – Gazeta.Ru). She stated that the disclosure of her personal data was unacceptable and criminal.

“And” the woman reflected “here, Comrade “Mardan”, in my opinion, is you. Balls do not always hinder a dancer; sometimes this expression has a different meaning. But not everyone has them, as it seems to you. I realized this in 2014,” Poklonskaya concluded.

In an interview with News.ru, she noted that everyone, including bloggers, must comply with the law.

Poklonskaya did not directly confirm the name change but did not deny it either. Mardan wrote that with his post, the adviser to the prosecutor general indirectly confirmed “her dedication to Veles and Dazhdbog and her return to her roots.”

“I don't know how the new one drove the crest instead of the normal name given by the parents,” he said, turning to questions about the Northern Military District and Ukraine.

Converted to paganism

For a long time, Poklonskaya positioned herself as a convinced Christian. She actively opposed the release of the film “Matilda”, considering it offensive to the feelings of believers, and also talked a lot about morality and religion.

However, after 2020, her beliefs changed. On social networks, Poklonskaya began to congratulate subscribers on the pagan holidays of Lammas and Mabon, and also posted photos in national costumes. On October 31 last year, Natalya congratulated Russians on the holiday Samhain (in Rus' it is called Veles Night).

She also suggested that the name of the city of Lugansk may have a connection to the region's secret pagan past. The Prosecutor General's advisor spoke about the historical version according to which the ancient inhabitants of Donbass worshiped Lug, the god of light, the sun, fertility and warriors.

“This is just a small part of an interesting story that someone is afraid to accept, someone is trying to take it, someone is trying to hide (…) One thing remains unchanged: how many secrets there are in our past and how intertwined European cultures and traditions are,” she noted.

For such publications, Poklonskaya was repeatedly criticized in the Russian Orthodox Church.

The name change was a logical continuation of her transformation in perspective. “I no longer profess Orthodoxy and my new name reflects my views on life and knowledge,” Poklonskaya noted on social networks, adding that she had decided to completely separate herself from her previous identity.

Poklonskaya's path in politics

Natalya Poklonskaya was born in Ukraine; She has lived in Crimea since she was seven years old. There she worked for a long time in the prosecutor's office. In 2014, Poklonskaya said she did not share the views of the Ukrainian authorities and submitted her resignation. When Crimea was transferred to Russia, the region's head Sergei Aksenov invited Poklonskaya to become a prosecutor. She was nicknamed “cute” because of her beautiful appearance and memes began to be created about her.

“I'm the prosecutor here! So I won't allow any nyash, yash or the like,” Poklonskaya reacted then.

She also became one of the symbols of “Russian Spring”.

Poklonskaya was then a deputy and voted against pension reform in the Duma. In 2021, she withdrew from the election, at the same time she was offered the position of Russian Ambassador to Cape Verde. For personal reasons, the politician refused the appointment and in February 2022 she became deputy director of Rossotrudnichestvo. She worked in this position for less than six months, after which she was appointed advisor to the Prosecutor General of Russia.
