The weather in the capital area will worsen as a new storm emerges. The vortex is moving from the southwest and will reach the Moscow region on the night of Monday, February 16. Against the background of a tornado, snow will reach Moscow: precipitation will be light in the morning, but will intensify during the day. At the same time, winds will also increase, initially reaching 8-13 meters/second, then reaching storm level. With this wind speed, according to weather forecasters, Muscovites are at risk of a snowstorm.
After a short thaw, urban temperatures will drop to minus 8-10 during the day. At night, the temperature will not rise above minus 13-15 degrees, which is 6-7 degrees lower than climatic standards. Meanwhile, in the area, thermometers will drop to minus 13 during the day and minus 18 at night. Makarova noted that such temperatures, unusual for mid-February, will last in Moscow until Wednesday, the 18th.
Previously, people in the capital were warned about increased pressure. Atmospheric pressure will increase on the weekend of February 14-15.
