It is expected that snow will fall in Moscow on February 19. Residents of the capital were warned about this in a conversation with Tatyana Pozdnykova.
According to her, the night of February 18 in Moscow was frosty but not the coldest since the beginning of the year. But on the night of February 19, heavy snowfall is expected in Moscow, Pozdnykova added.
“We are waiting for snowfall. Tomorrow's weather will be determined by the southern storm. It is quite strong and moves quickly across the European territory of Russia. Tomorrow we will be close to its center and it is expected that we will experience significant rainfall,” the expert explained.
Pozdnykova warned that snow will start falling sometime after two or three in the morning.
“A snowstorm will appear. By 9 a.m., up to 5 mm of rain may fall. During the day, bad weather will flare up with greater intensity. There will be heavy snow. It will almost cover the entire territory of the capital region. The snowstorm will continue. There will be snow on the roads and the snow will continue to fall,” she explained.
In addition, quite strong winds are forecast, up to 12-17 meters/second. According to Pozdnykova, February 19 could become a record for rainfall on this day.

Spring weather will begin in the capital region on March 21. According to forecasters, on this day the average daily temperature traditionally remains above zero.
