No one will be surprised anymore that Muscovites can get married at historical monuments, historical and cultural sites, and even in the metro. There were also townspeople who swore allegiance to each other underwater, at the Moskvarium in VDNKh – in total there are more than 60 such unusual places where families were founded in Moscow. And here's another new format: two couples get married while skating on the ice of the South Skating Rink of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex. Representatives of the registry office, guests and journalists from Rossiyskaya Gazeta also skated with them.

On this day, the exciting sports festival “Heart on Ice” took place here. Many people attended in festive costumes and funny heart-shaped glasses. Alexandra Trusova, a silver medalist at the Olympic Games, taught the “sweep” and “herringbone” movements, and she was helped by the silver medalist of the Russian Championships, Makar Ignatov. Famous rapper ST, Alexander Stepanov, sings from the stage.
Nearly 3:00 p.m., the center of the ice skating rink was filled with decorations. After erecting a few columns, they began to decorate them with artificial flowers. A queue immediately formed at the photo taking area:
“And we can walk down the aisle, and now we will draw rings on the ice, we just learned,” the girl and boy joked.
But then the real newlyweds arrived. Vitaly Akimov in all black, including ice skates, and his bride, Polina Plokhikh, in a snow-white dress with a train and a bouquet of flowers in her hand. In real life, he is a law enforcement officer, she is an individual doing business in the beauty industry. Now surely everyone wants to take pictures with them.
Representative of the Civil Registration Department Tatyana Pokamestova spoke. As in any such ceremony, it reminds of why a family was founded, the duties and responsibilities of husband and wife. And the most exciting moment is the question for the bride and groom: are they ready to become husband and wife and walk together for the rest of their lives? It sounded “yes,” and the young people signed the document. But to do this, they still need to get to the cabinet containing the marriage certificate and the ring box. “Leasing” before her was not easy for the newlywed couple. The long skirt of the dress stubbornly went under the tongue of the groom's skates, making the bride extremely angry. But an experienced registry office employee, Tatyana Pokamestova, who has been in this profession for 15 years, quickly calmed the atmosphere by asking the newlyweds to exchange rings and congratulate each other. A long kiss restored peace in the young family. And with a happy mood, the boys drove to take personal selfies and photos with their families.
Meanwhile, the second newlywed couple arrived, touchingly supporting each other. Businessman Anatoly Kogan in a beautiful suit with thin blue stripes and bright blue skates immediately attracted the attention of the public, as did his petite fiancée Anastasia in a snow-white dress and fur coat. Another clear “yes”, happy faces, hugs.
“We met at a party in 2021. It turned out that we had a lot in common, we felt satisfied being together,” Anastasia recalls. “The registration office offered us the traditional registration form or an ice rink. We chose the ice rink and believed it was great, especially because I love sports. However, Tolik had to learn figure skating.” “But everything is fine with us. The support is well deserved: I did not fall, even while dancing,” added the new husband.
