Thanks to the new section of the Moscow High Speed Diameter (MSD), traffic flows will be redistributed and the traffic load on Kashirskoye Highway, Proletarsky Prospekt and Kavkazsky Avenue, as well as Baku, Lipetskaya, Kantemirovskaya and Luganskaya streets will decrease. This was announced by the head of the department of transport and engineering infrastructure construction, part of the urban planning and construction policy complex of the city of Moscow, Vasily Desyatkov.

According to him, work is now underway on all sections of the Moscow Highway Diameter additional route from Kantemirovskaya Street to the Paveletsky direction of Moscow Railways.
“Construction is expected to be completed in 2026. With the commissioning of this section of MSD, the efficiency of the diameter in the south of the capital will increase, as well as traffic accessibility of five districts of Moscow at once – Tsaritsyn, Moskvorechya-Saburov, Biryulyov Western, Biryulev Eastern, Orekhov-Borisov Northern, will improve,” Desyatkov noted.
Currently, the builders are carrying out the assembly of the expansion of the span structure of the future overpass on the tracks of the Second Moscow Central Diameter. Previously, reinforced concrete supports were installed for it.
At the same time, several overpasses to MSD and a tunnel under Baku Street are being built in this area.
The launch of the project will be the final point in the formation of the Southeast expressway section; it will connect the sixth and eighth sections of the route with the Baku Street exit and with the next exit on the M-4 Don motorway.
