Artist Engin Çağlar, one of Yeşilçam's important names, lost his life in a traffic accident. Çağlar was buried at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery after funeral prayers performed at Şişli Central Mosque.
In the accident that happened yesterday around October 20 on Şişli Abide-i Hürriyet street, movie actor Engin Çağlar was hit by a motorbike while trying to cross the street. Seriously injured, Çağlar could not be saved despite all the interventions performed at the hospital where he was taken. Today, the funeral for Çağlar was held at Şişli Central Mosque after noon prayers.Çağlar's wife Filiz Vural, his sons Eser and Çağlan, as well as Nuri Alço, Ediz Hun, Teoman Ayık and their loved ones from the artistic community attended the ceremony.Engin Çağlar, who died in a traffic accident at the age of 85, was buried at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery after a prayer service.Engin Çağlar has participated in many of Yeşilçam's films such as “Not a Woman, but a Trouble”, “Kınalı Yapıncak”, “Feride”, “Makber” and “If Dreams Come True”.
