The 62nd Antalya Golden Orange International Film Festival started with a traditional motorcade. Famous names in the world of Turkish cinema and television welcomed the people of Antalya in the convoy associated with the festival.
The Antalya Golden Orange International Film Festival, one of Türkiye's long-standing cinema events, met the audience in its 62nd year this year with the theme 'From the Heart'.The traditional carousel of the festival, organized by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and showing 104 films this year, starts at 3:30 p.m. in front of the Antalya Cultural Center (AKM), where the screenings are held.The convoy continued to travel a distance of 5 km with open vehicles, from in front of AKM, through Sakıp Sabancı Avenue, 100 Years Street, Güllük and Cumhuriyet streets, and then from Atatürk Street to the old service building of Antalya Municipality.Deputy Mayor of Antalya City Büşra Özdemir, honorary award-winning film artists Serap Aksoy and Settar Tanrıöğen, and Yüksel Arıcı, Mahmut Cevher, Kaan Çakır, Mehmet Kurtuluş, Korhan Yurtsever, Ezel Akay, Yosi Mizrahi, Elvin Köse attended the delegation car where famous artists welcome people.Artists threw flowers to people in the motorcade, along with the Metropolitan City's marching band and dance and performance teams.People were very interested in the convoy and took photos with the artists.A performance was organized by a group of foreign acrobats who joined the convoy in the park.Mehmet Varsak, one of the people waiting on the street to see the artists in the troupe, said that he came to see the troupe with his family and they were happy to meet the artists.“We grew up with film music,” said Sibel Karaarslan. “For me, Golden Orange means music, artists, our past, present and is a very beautiful event passed down from generation to generation.”Tuğçe Nazlı said, “It is an event that makes us happy and excited. It is our cinema tradition. I wish it will continue for many more years. I came with my daughter. I want her to learn it when she is young. This event is our culture, we want to maintain this culture.”12 films will compete for the “Golden Orange” award in the National Feature Film Competition, held at the 62nd film festival organized by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality this year.The festival will end on November 2.
