While Minister Şimşek stated that the positive trend in industrial production continued, he said that in the period from January to August, industrial production increased by 3.9% annually, adjusted for calendar effects, and increases were recorded in 18 out of 24 manufacturing industries. Şimşek said, “Capital goods and high-tech manufacturing support transformation, and our industry's production capacity will show strong performance in 2025.” he said.
Minister Şimşek made the following statements in his post: “We are studying additional support measures to revive weak production in labor-intensive sectors. We are also taking measures to limit the access of subsidized products that violate international rules to our domestic market. We will permanently strengthen the competitiveness of the sector and further strengthen the dynamics of sustainable growth.”
