President Jerome Powell also expressed that inflation is still quite high. Experts, unlike this year, is expected to discount more next year. So when will the Fed interest rate be announced?

The next PPK meeting of the US Federal Reserve will be held on October 28-29. The interest rate decision will be announced on the evening of October 29. The final interest rate decision of the year will also be on December 9.

At the sixth meeting in 2025, the Fed earned a basic 25-point policy interest rate to 4.00-4.25 %. This discount is the first decision to reduce interest rates of the year.

The bank recently reduced interest rates to 4.25 % to 4.50 on December 18, 2024. Fed did not change the policy interest rate at the July meeting and kept it at 4.25-4.50 %. In previous reports, the bank decided to keep interest rates constant.
