In the capital region on the night of Wednesday, February 4, air temperatures can drop to -28°. Expect partly cloudy weather write with reference to the press service of the Russian Federation Hydrometeorological Center.
The agency's interlocutor clarified that the air temperature at night in Moscow will be from -18° to -20°, in some places down to -25°. In the Moscow region, the forecast is -23°, in some places up to -28°.
“Frost will be accompanied by westerly winds with a speed of 3-8 m/s and ice may form on the roads,” the meteorologist explained.
According to him, it will also be cold in the middle of the week: Wednesday afternoon, February 4, in the capital from -11° to -13°, in the region – up to -16°.
Previously, the leading expert at the Phobos weather center, Mikhail Leus, said last night in Moscow was the coldest night since the beginning of winter this year.

According to the city's base weather station, VDNKh, the minimum temperature was -21.6°, 0.6° lower than the previous frost on February 1.
Forecasters warn that the unusual frost will not leave the region until the end of the current work week and that the night of Friday, February 6, could top the list of coldest so far this winter.
