Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Andrei Svintsov, in an interview with Moscow Speaks radio station, announced the slowing down of Telegram's activities in Russia and noted that this step is a suggestion for messenger management.

“The fact that uploading videos to Telegram is becoming more and more difficult is a gentle suggestion from Roskomnadzor to Telegram management that they need to interact more actively with the authorities in the Russian Federation,” he said.
As the parliamentarian noted, the messenger authorities need to quickly implement the Russian legislation adopted in this area.
“The management response rate is still not enough,” Svintsov said.
The congressman noted that there are still many anonymous Telegram channels that continue to post fake, harmful and dangerous information.
Previously, Internet resource error detection tool Detector404 reported that Russians were complaining about the operation of the Telegram messaging application.
