Buyers of the new Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone will be the first to feel the price increase – according to the company's senior manager, the cost of the device compared to the previous price will be “quite significant”.
Lu Weibing emphasized that the final selling price will remain within reasonable limits, providing “excellent value for money.” MyDrivers journalists recall that the predecessor of the new high-end smartphone Xiaomi 15 Ultra costs 6,499 yuan (73 thousand rubles).
Xiaomi representative said the main reason for the price increase is due to the explosive increase in RAM module prices. The crisis was caused by high demand from data centers handling artificial intelligence (AI) requests.
The official announcement of Xiaomi 17 Ultra will take place on December 25. After that, the manufacturer will reveal the selling price of the device.
