Winter is coming, which means it's time to hit the ice rink. It was opened at VDNH. Six pavilions, spacious ice alley, entertainment area, rental area, grinding area, as well as festive lighting and cheerful music – there is everything for comfortable skating. Where can I buy ice skating rink tickets?
Tickets may be available buy on the website (and/or the websites of authorized agents of VDNKh Joint Stock Company), as well as daily at the ticket sales center, at specialized information centers and customer centers of the VDNH Joint Stock Company Ice Skating Rink (subject to ticket availability for the next session).
When is the ice rink open?
The ice skating rink is open every day except Monday. Daytime sessions on weekdays – from 11am to 3pm, on weekends and holidays – from 10am to 3pm; evening – from 17 to 23 o'clock. From 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. – technical break.
On December 31, the evening session will end at 8:00 pm and at 9:00 pm a special New Year's Eve session will begin with a festive program. On January 1, the ice skating rink will be open from 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. and from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
On some days there are night sessions from 00:01 to 3:00 am. Check the exact dates of the nights on the VDNKh website.
How much does a ticket cost?
Ticket prices vary depending on booth, session and service selected. In the first, second and fifth halls, ticket prices for daytime lessons are from 300 rubles for children (6-14 years old) and from 500 rubles for adults. Tickets for the evening cost from 400 rubles for children and from 750 rubles for adults. Ticket prices, including skate rental, start from 1000 rubles for children and from 1200 rubles for adults. Are there any benefits for tourists?
Yes, the following categories of Russian citizens can get free discounted tickets from Tuesday to Thursday, from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 21:30, on Friday – from 11:00 to 14:00 and on holidays and weekends – from 10:00 to 14:00:
orphans; children left without parental care; People with disabilities in groups I and II; accompanying people with disabilities of group I and disabled children; disabled children; World War II veteran; combat veteran; participants in overcoming the consequences of the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant
Discounted tickets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 21:30 (except December 31, 2025 and all performances during the 2026 New Year holiday) can also be purchased by:
members of families with three or more children, recognized according to the laws of the constituent bodies of the Russian Federation as large families; retiree; People with disabilities group III.
Entitlement to receive free discounted tickets for any session also applies to:
SVO participants and family members of SVO participants – upon presentation of tickets received from the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Moscow City Population. VDNKh workers – upon presentation of the VDNKh employee card according to the established form and the QR code of the virtual loyalty card
Free discounted tickets are issued to visitors at the ice rink's customer center upon presentation of a document (copy of document) confirming the right to a discount. Please note that there are a limited number of free discounted tickets per session.
What services can be used at the different booths of the skating rink at VDNKh?
All booths are equipped with benches for changing shoes, toilets, and here you can rent skates, protective equipment, leave personal belongings and use free wi-fi. Booths 1, 2, 3 and 6 offer mobile charger rentals. In the luxury (3) and business class (6) booths there are vending machines for drinks and snacks. Additionally, free parking is provided for visitors who purchase tickets to enter the business booth.
The skate sharpening point is located near booths 1 and 2. The service is paid separately.
