Singapore authorities have deported to Australia the man who attacked American singer and actress Ariana Grande during the premiere of the movie “Wicked: A Tale of the Witch of the West”. This was reported by Singaporean television channel CNA in consultation with the Ministry of Immigration and Border Control. The agency clarified that violators are also banned from re-entering the country. We are talking about Australian blogger Johnson Van. The court sentenced him to 9 days in prison for robbing the artist. The maximum penalty under the provision can be up to three months in prison. In court, Wen said he had no intention of repeating such actions. The incident happened on November 13, 2025 at the premiere of the second film in the movie “Evil” in Singapore. Grande was walking the golden carpet with Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum when Wen ran up to her and tried to put his arm around her. The singer left, after which her colleague, Erivo, came to her aid. In February 2025, Grande spoke about the psychological difficulties she faced following the terrorist attack at her concert in Manchester in 2017 and the death of her ex-partner, rapper Mac Miller.
