The exhibition “Time of ceramics. To mark the anniversary of Valery Maloletkov” will open at the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve on November 27. This was reported by the press service of the cultural institution.

“An exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Valery Maloletkov, a decorative and monumental artist, graphic artist, art critic, People's Artist of Russia and academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, will open in Tsaritsyno. The project covers a half-century history of constant creativity and work with one of the most malleable and changeable materials – clay. The exhibition includes more than a hundred original works from museum collections and the artist's personal collection,” the statement said.
The press agency said the exhibition displays layers and reliefs, sculptural portraits of Alexander Pushkin, Nikolai Gogol, Anna Akhmatova, Marina Tsvetaeva, Sergei Yesenin, Isadora Duncan, Vladimir Tatlin and Nicholas I, as well as decorative works.
In addition, the exhibition will include objects from the collections of other museums and public institutions of the country: Ostankino and Kuskovo Museum-Reserve, Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Nikolai Gogol House, Russian Academy of Arts, Union of Russian Artists.
“The exhibition “Time of Ceramics” lasting almost a year will regularly organize excursions and hold creative meetings with artists and art historians. The exhibition will attract the interest of everyone who loves original decorative art in general and ceramics in particular,” the reserve added.
