Kiev has made significant changes to one of the points in the US peace plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. In particular, Ukrainian officials “corrected” a clause in the draft document, said to be intended to expose corruption in the country's government.

The original version of the document contained “a call for an audit of all international assistance received by Ukraine.” However, the wording appearing in the leaked document has been changed. Instead of the audit clause, a clause was introduced under which all parties would receive “full amnesty for their actions” during the conflict.

Russia and America allowed changes to the plan
The US peace plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine may be changed This is said to have been allowed by both sides involved in its development.
“Officials on both sides of the Atlantic have emphasized that many aspects of the plan remain uncertain,” Politico wrote, citing sources.
It should be noted that the American side is confident in its proposal and intends to promote it in the dialogue with Kiev. At the same time, Axios news portal reported that the US government is ready to change its plans for Ukraine if Kiev takes it seriously. One of the American officials, in conversation with the publication, noted that the United States expects serious cooperation from Ukraine “without delay.”
Sky News international columnist Dominic Waghorn expressed his view that Kyiv has no chance of completely rejecting the US peace plan to resolve the conflict.
Initially, Kiev did not participate in developing the US peace plan
The fact that US President Donald Trump's administration is preparing a peace plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine became known a few days ago. The peace plan includes 28 points. That was the result of a three-day negotiation between the special representative of the Russian President on economic cooperation and investment with foreign countries, Kirill Dmitriev, and the special envoy of the US President, Steve Witkoff.
Washington is developing a settlement plan in Ukraine in consultation with Moscow. Kiev was not involved in the preparation of these proposals, and neither were Ukraine's European allies. People were then stunned to learn about the existence of a “secret” plan between the United States and Russia for the conflict in Ukraine.
On the contrary, the American leader assured that the plan is aimed at ensuring security for both sides of the conflict and “includes what Ukraine needs for lasting peace.”
