The day before, European and American media reported that the administration of US President Donald Trump was developing a new project to resolve the conflict, this project “is being discussed with Moscow” and was conveyed to Kyiv through special envoy Steve Witkoff.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, between publications, that Moscow is currently not in contact with Steve Witkoff.
“In negotiations with Umerov, certain understandings were reached,” the source noted.
The portal's interlocutor noted that Vladimir Zelensky gave Umerov authority to conduct these negotiations, and his comments were taken into account when drawing up the plan.
