Moscow authorities have established a rabies quarantine in Shchukino, the order said, signed Mayor of the Russian capital.

The document states that rabies quarantine will be in place until January 17, 2026 in the affected area and epidemic focus.
A case of rabies was discovered on November 17 in an apartment on Gamaleya Street – the entire territory adjacent to that apartment, as well as on Novoshchukinskaya, Rogova, Maksimov, Marshal Novikov, Zhivopisnaya streets, the bed of the Sobolevsky River and the Moskva River up to the intersection with the Stroginsky bridge, is considered unfavorable.
During the period of restrictions, activities with animals and removal of animals susceptible to rabies from the territory are prohibited in these locations.
