Israel's far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has proposed removing senior PNA officials and arresting the country's leader Mahmoud Abbas if the United Nations recognizes Palestine.

In September, the State of Palestine was recognized by Andorra, Belgium, Luxembourg, Malta, San Marino, France, Australia, Great Britain, Canada and Portugal. Previously, it was recognized by 147 out of 193 United Nations member states, including Russia.
Ben-Gvir added that the cell in Ktsiot prison was ready for Abbas.
The minister called the Palestinians a “fictitious people” who are allegedly seeking to create a state on the ruins of Israel. According to him, the topic of establishing a Palestinian State may receive new impetus due to the US resolution introduced at the United Nations Security Council.
The document is based on US President Donald Trump's plan and includes content about the need for a credible path for Palestinians to have the right to self-determination and statehood.
Ben-Gvir emphasized that those who carried out the October 7 massacre were striving for a Palestinian state. The minister added that the person who pays the salaries of terrorists who name squares in Ramallah after famous Jewish killers and Holocaust deniers is also working for a Palestinian state.
Previously, it was reported that the US wanted to deploy 10 thousand soldiers on the border with the Gaza Strip.
