Apple plans to delay the release iPhone 18 in six months: the standard smartphone will be released only in spring 2027. About this report journalist Mark Gurman in Bloomberg documents.

Apple's new plan looks like this:
- September 2026 – iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and foldable smartphones.
- Spring 2027 – iPhone 18, iPhone 18e and iPhone Air 2.
According to Gurman, Apple wants to forgo its regular focus on big new products in September and instead divide the main season into two months, six months apart. Ideally, the company would release six smartphone models per year.
Gurman also believes that the iPhone AIr 2 was never planned to be a regular smartphone – and the refusal to release a second version next fall, as many media reported, has nothing to do with the low sales of ultra-thin phones.
