There were no citizen complaints about tick bites in the fall of 2025 in Moscow. This was reported on the website of the capital's Rospotrebnadzor department.

So, the ministry comments on information appearing in the media that cases of tick bites were recorded in the Russian capital, which remained active due to unusually warm weather.
The statement said: “Citizens' requests about tick stains in the city of Moscow have not been registered; the laboratory of the Federal Budgetary Health Institute “Moscow City Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology” did not receive ticks from citizens <...>according to entomological monitoring results <...> on the territory of parks and forests <...> No ticks were found.”
Accordingly, the capital's Rospotrebnadzor department, during the epidemiological season, took the necessary measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases transmitted by tick bites. In particular, in Moscow, the disposal of ruins of public entertainment places for residents and guests of the city was organized. At the same time, this year the area of treatment wards in Moscow has doubled compared to 2024.
However, the department warns that the risk of encountering individual ticks on warm days may remain in the capital. In this regard, Rospotrebnadzor urged people to be cautious.
