WhatsApp developers (Meta Platforms Inc.* is recognized as an extremist organization) have begun limited testing of new message designs for iPhone users. This was reported by the WABetaInfo portal.

The changes have appeared for some users of the app under numbers 25,28,75. At the same time, the Meta company itself (considered extremist in Russia and banned) has not yet officially announced a redesign.
The main element of the update is the bottom navigation bar, made in the Liquid Glass style. It received a transparency effect that is in harmony with modern iOS visual solutions.
According to WABetaInfo, the updated interface is triggered on the server side, so not all users with the current version of the app will have access to the new design. This indicates incremental testing and selective launch of the feature.
It is expected that the redesign will gradually be rolled out to a wider audience in an upcoming update. The exact timing of the general release has not yet been revealed.
An iOS 26 style redesign is also expected for the Telegram messaging app – a beta version of the messaging app with the new look is already available online.
