Flooding occurred in the Tushinsky tunnel; Trams will not run along the Volokolamsk Highway through the Moscow Canal from 21:00 on Wednesday, October 8, until 6:00 on Thursday, October 9. This was reported by the press service of the Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure of the capital.

According to representatives of the department, passenger transport will follow the changed route 6k from the Bratsevo stop through the Skhodnenskaya metro station to the Vostochny bridge. Instead of taking the tram, take bus number 06 from Sokol metro station to Bratsevo stop.
— From the Sokol metro station along the Volokolamsk highway, use buses 06, e30, e30k, t70, 88, 356, n12. Changes – during the repair period, – reporting telegram– channel “Deptrans. Fast.”
Rosmorrechflot representatives also warned that ship movement along the Moscow Canal section in Tushinsky district was suspended due to the water filtration process in the tunnel.
— Work quickly began to remove it. The department's official Telegram channel said water flow into the tunnel had been blocked.
A similar situation occurred last spring, when from the evening of May 16, the movement of ships along the Moscow Canal in the Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo area was banned. The reason is pre-emergency condition pressure dam of canal number 294 and need for repair and lack of opportunity.
In addition, on January 10, 2019, the Tushinsky tunnel on Volokolamsk highway was flooded after breakthrough of water from the Moscow Canal. According to Rostransnadzor, this happened due to shortcomings in the reconstruction process in 2000, when two additional tunnels were built at the canal dam.
