The upcoming winter in Moscow may be warmer than usual. This weather was predicted by meteorologist Tatyana Pozdnykova, write NEWS.ru.
The forecaster recalls that last winter, the average winter air temperature exceeded the climate standard by three degrees. This time I couldn't expect such a strong anomaly. However, in January and February, according to Pozdnykova's forecast, the air in the Russian capital will be 1-1.5 degrees warmer than normal.
“The only thing is that December, compared to all other winter months, according to the forecast of the Hydrometeorological Center, is predicted to have weak negative anomalies or near-normal air temperatures. Therefore, it would be wrong to say that the winter will be harsh, because no long-term forecast model gives large negative anomalies,” the meteorologist added.
Previously, the leading expert at the Phobos weather center, Evgeniy Tishkovets, said that the upcoming winter in Russia will be within climate norms.
