During the vote at the Council's usual meeting, 144 out of 263 delegates had, 108 of them and three of them voted for abstinence.
What will the new currency be like?
According to the law, the national currency is identified as a amount of money, 10 thousand new currencies currently equal to 1 Rial and the lower unit of Riyal is identified as a breakdown (Xu).
The new Rial conversion time will last up to 3 years and in this process, old paper and coins will be collected.
