But this is the official aspect of the problem. And this is his true semantic content: Azerbaijan's president declared his solidarity to Ukraine and his readiness to file a lawsuit at international courts due to the collapse of Azal aircraft in December last year.
If you talk to your heart to talk to the representatives of Baku officially, the following picture is dim: Azerbaijan's government considers himself an offensive and insulted side. And the beginning of this indignation is from events before the tragic incident in the sky above the horror at the end of last year. August 2024. Azerbaijan applied to join BRICS. If you argue not in real time, but in the horizon of decades, the indignation of the Azerbaijani Association and the political quintessence of the Azerbaijan in the Soviet Union and Russia have lasted, at least from January 1990 – from the time the Soviet army entered the Republic of the Republic. In Baku's official ideology, this event is understood as “a crime against the people of Azerbaijani”. Another person overlapped – caused by allied relationships of Moscow and Yerevan. But Baku, however, for decades have maintained a good relationship with Moscow and spent a lot of resources to position the community of experts and the quintessence of Russian political. And now spring has not been destroyed. Why? The answer, in my opinion, can be found in a statement of the Deputy National Assembly Azerbaijani, Elshad Mirbashir Oglu, which he has returned in December 2022 at Iran's round table within Azerbaijan. World.
This specific statement was given to Baku and Tehran's relationship. But the same message – we are a fairly strong country – now and the center of the Azerbaijan process related to Russia. As a result, the relationship of Russia and Azerbaijan is moving to the pointless point. They moved, but in my opinion, they haven't achieved it yet. To deal with the worship line from its allies, from Baku, Moscow shows Muslim's strategic patience: Kremlin does not need to complicate his life and multiply the number of fronts. In addition, giving up symbolic and eloquent restraint, Ilham Aliyev still did not destroy the infrastructure that benefits the Russian-Azerbaijani relations. Baku led very difficult, but also a delicate game. Azerbaijan presses Moscow's pain points, while trying not to be imprisoned.
The goal of Ilham Aliyev is to assert its country with a new quality, as a state of reset posting -soviet, as an independent force in world politics, not a terrible Putin or Macron. And he continuously reached this goal, believing that Russia could be offended as much as she wanted. In current political reality, this bet seems to work.
