Samsung Galaxy A56 5G turns out to be the best-selling smartphone in Europe in 2025. This is stated in report Omdia Company.

Omdia experts have announced the top 10 most popular smartphones on the European market in 2025. At the top of the list is the Samsung Galaxy A56 5G sub-model, followed by the iPhone 16 in second place and the Samsung Galaxy A16 in third place. The company notes that the data takes into account sales in all European countries, except Russia.
The top 10 also include iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy A36 5G, iPhone 16e, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Interestingly, according to the 2024 results, the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G, the direct predecessor of the Galaxy A56 5G, was named the best-selling smartphone.
Analysts note that according to 2025 data, the smartphone market in Europe decreased by 1%, with a total of 134.2 million units shipped. Leading the segment with a market share of 35% is South Korea's Samsung, with America's Apple (27%) in second place and China's Xiaomi in third place (16%).
They also found that in the final quarter of 2025, Apple is leading the market thanks to high iPhone 16 sales, with a 34% market share. Samsung and Xiaomi lagged behind – they received market shares of 31 and 14% respectively in the last quarter of the year.
In late February, Counterpoint Research said Apple was leading the European smartphone market by the end of 2025. The company ended the year with a 31% market share.
