Head of security at the Meta department (recognized as extremist in Russia and banned) Superintelligence Summer Yue reported an incident with an OpenClaw AI agent, resulting in the deletion of letters from her work mailbox. She talked about what happened on social network X, published screenshots of correspondence with bots on Telegram.

According to Yue, she connected OpenClaw to email with the task of analyzing incoming messages and offering archiving or deletion options, specifically specifying that any action be performed only after confirmation. However, the employee bypassed this restriction and started automatically deleting the letters.
Attempts to stop the process via Telegram chat were unsuccessful. As a result, the girl had to turn off the Mac mini urgently to stop performing operations. After the incident, OpenClaw admitted to violating the guidelines and apologized.
Responding to the comments, Yue emphasized that she did not intentionally test the system. According to her, connecting the bot to an active mailbox was a “beginner's mistake”: previously this agent was used to send test messages without any negative consequences.
